The Happiest place on Earth

This year for Reeds Birthday we decided to load in the car and go to DisneyLand. We found out a few days before the big day that he wasn't working. We were so excited to spend a fun Day riding and spending time as a family.

It is so fun to see All the Christmas decorations and to watch to Christmas Parade. The parades and shows are my favorites.

I Love the Music!

One of my favorite things about the holiday season is the Christmas Music. While I'm driving around town I have my car radio tuned to all the Christmas stations. I find myself singing and smiling to songs like "Rockin Around the Christmas Tree" and " Jingle Bell Rock". I love all the traditional songs, the spiritual songs and the new ones. I just had so much Joy today as I was driving around Christmas shopping and car pooling.

Several years ago I was feeling a little low during the Holiday Season. My car was loaded up with all five girls and the Song "Santa Claus is coming to Town" ,by Boys to Men, came on the radio and I turned the radio up and we all started rockin out. We were laughing and singing at the top of our lungs. It was so silly and fun and it truly brought a feeling of Joy to my heart. Belting that song came to be one of our favorite things to do.

So, I guess what I'm saying in this little post is I Love Christmas Music!Does anyone feel like I do?

We are so Thankful!

My family all converged on my parents home to celebrate Thanksgiving! When everyone was there we had 25 people all crammed into their house. It was super crazy, but soooo fun! This was the first Thanksgiving since my parents mission. We loved being together.
We played games, did puzzles, made up dances(this is a standard at all family get togethers) Above is Heather, Kara, and Sydney.

Let it Snow

At the beginning of our Thanksgiving week, we were blessed with some pretty cold weather and beautiful snow. Kylie and her cousins Bailey and Hayden had so much fun running and playing in the snow. I loved these shots of the kids that my brother Bob took. You can see the snow falling, it was so beautiful.

Winegar Family Fun Run!

This was the first time in three years that my whole family was able to be together. We decided to have a fun run on the morning of Thanksgiving. We all set a spiritual goal and a physical goal that ended on Thanksgiving Day! Our race was the culmination of everyones training.
I ordered shirts and mapped out a two mile run. We had the best time.
This is the start of the race. We had runners and walkers. We just wanted to encourage everyone to get out and move.
These are my cute neices Ella and Sydney
Patti, Kylie and Amy running along.
These were the quick runners at the end. Uncle Dave was leading the pack, but he decided to pick up Ella and lost some of his lead.
Megan the Oregon track star sprinted to the end and was the official winner of the Winegar Family fun run.

Happy Halloween!

This year for Halloween Heather decided to have a Halloween Party! Our house was a little crazy this past Saturday night. We had teenagers talking, dancing and playing games all over our house. Lauren was at a friends Halloween party. Cute Kylie went trick or treating with her friend Brynanne. The picture about is Heather as the Cat in the Hat with two of her friends. Thing one and thing Two.

Girlfriends Weekend in Vegas

Last weekend My friend Paula and I flew to Las Vegas for a high school/college friends weekend. We met up with Kathy Richey, Lisa Nielsen and Suzie Fitts. We all grew up in the Fresno fifth ward. This was such a fun and involved ward. We had so much fun talking about memories of growing up together.

This weekend was so fun! We stayed up late every night talking. laughing and catching up on everyones lives.

One of the sweetest parts of the trip was attending the Las Vegas Temple with these amazing women. It reminded me of Alma and the sons of Mosiah, to realize that we are all still sisters in the gospel.
This was our second time getting together. We met in Las Vegas five years ago. Last time we all brought fun little gifts for each other. This time was the same. Paula and I did bracelets and charms for everyone.
Lisa gave us cute aprons, Kathy some amazing face cream from her hubby the dermatologist, and Suzie gave us these cute Christmas Anna Lee dolls. It felt like christmas opening the gifts and seeing each other.
crazyEven though we are all getting older, we still were pretty crazy. When you hang with these gals, it is never dull and there is definitely a lot of laughing.

One of the days we shopped and went exploring at the Bellagio Hotel. These shots were take in the beautiful atrium garden room. We also had fun shopping and eating at some super yummy restaurants.

One of the nights we went to the Cirque de sole performance Beatle-Love. It was so fun! The music brought back memories of ward and stake dances. The performance was so creative and enjoyable to watch. I would highly recommend it.

I didn't make it into this picture. We were all cracking up that we use readers. It is kind of a bummer to be getting old.
When Paula and I arrived home. We were greeted by her son-in-law Nate holding this sign. What a great way to end an amazing weekend. Now I need a rest from my vacation.
